Facebook - I don't do Facebook anymore, it has gotten too corporate for me. With advertising and commercials that have nothing to do with me; posts from people I don't know, stories that I'm not interested in; it's become the garbage can of the internet. So, good-by facebook!
Mastodon Social - Mastodon has become the federated social media platform of the present and future. No advertising or commercials, no posts from people I don't know or stories that I'm not interested in. It is open source and free. Friendica World - Friendica was one of the first federated social media platforms available to the general public and presently one of the most populated federated platforms. Like Mastodon, no advertising or commercials, no posts from people I don't know or stories that I'm not interested in. It is open source and free. Lemmy World - Lemmy World is very similar to Friendica, in fact, because they are both federated, you can interact with me on either one (and Mastodon). Blue Sky - Blue Sky is what I would call a semi federated platform. It's similar to the others above, but it has a different communications protocol. It doesn't talk to the others above. Like the ones above, no advertising or commercials, no posts from people I don't know or stories that I'm not interested in. It is open source and free. Tumblr - Tumblr is a combination blog, social media platform, soon to be fully federated. There are really no limits as to what you can do if you know HTML programing. My handle on Tumblr is: @no1-pogi-americano
