Facebook - I'm back!, it is still too corporate for me. With advertising and commercials that have nothing to do with me; posts from people I don't know, stories that I'm not interested in; it's still the garbage can of the internet. But, I'm the administrator (owner in FB terms) of my Knights of Columbus council Facebook account and I need my own account for that. So, I'm back as Ken Harbit. I'll check it every couple of days.
Mastodon Social - Mastodon has become the federated social media platform of the present and future. No advertising or commercials, no posts from people I don't know or stories that I'm not interested in. It is open source and free. Lemmy World - Lemmy World is very similar to Friendica, in fact, because they are both federated, you can interact with me on either one (and Mastodon). Blue Sky (not any more) - Blue Sky is what I would call a semi federated platform. It's similar to the others above, but it has a different communications protocol. It doesn't talk to the others above. Like the ones above, no advertising or commercials, no posts from people I don't know or stories that I'm not interested in. It is open source and free. Tumblr - Tumblr is a combination blog, social media platform, soon to be fully federated. There are really no limits as to what you can do if you know HTML programing. My handle on Tumblr is: @no1-pogi-americano
